EGT sensor question

Yea, I did a useless search and did not find the answer.

What type of fitting do most EGT sensors need? Are there any sensors that will fit in the O2 sensor fitting? If not, is there an adapter to mount it
there. Only want to mount the EGT sensor and gauge for tuning then remove it.

the greddy i have uses a pressure fitting. here are some pics. I had it tapped and welded into the downpipe. you can order the greddy part separately for like $20 although i'm no hardware expert but you could probably get the same part somewhere else for $2. you could weld this fitting on and then i suppose cap it up when you're done.

I have a spare O2 bung with a cap. If needed I can drill and tap the cap.
This will allow use of the O2 sensor stock location for temporary use.

Where is the optimal location for it? Last time I installed it on a piston engine, so I'm not sure if thats the right place (half the id of the manifold from the exhaust port.)

The idea place is the manifold....but if it's just temp...a bung on the dp will be good enough..ofcourse the temp reading will be different...
