EGR still on but solenoid gone?

I have a pfc...but was wondering if this could be the source of my problems. I just did a simplified sequential....so i took out the egr solenoid. But I still have my egr on. Would this cause problems?

like a loping idle? I'm getting quite frustrated. Why i took apart a running car. lol.

so after i took the emissions (air pump, double throttle, acv, aws) and put block off plates on them. I did the simplified sequential. Should any of this affect the idle of the motor? oh, and accidentally, wrench touched alternator and big spark.

So I put it back together, crank it up. Starts right up, (reset the pfc to do idle learning). Revs up to 3-4k and runs. great.... but idle never comes down. Weird i think. Drive around block. Works well. Reset pfc again and try again.

This time, as the boost goes up, the revs come down and when theres more vacuum, it revs up. weird, so now its hunting for an idle.

Reset pfc again. try again after double checking everything. kinda kicks...doesn't start..

Take apart uim, recheck solenoids and stuff. Now no start at all...no kick...just turns over. Why did i take this motor apart when it ran fine besides 2nd turbos on boosting to 3-4 psi...

I'm not sure which block off plates come with the nonseq kit but I got the single turbo bop kit from banzai and the idle is no longer controlled by the PFC. There's a screw you can adjust to set your idle. Just my 2cents?

Hope all goes well. Post when u get it all figured out

if it wasn't a vacuum leak, the original high idle could have been due to the fast idle cam being up. If you remove the TB coolant hose without doing anything to the fast idle cam on the TB then you will have a high idle. The fast idle cam opens the throttle plates after a cold start until hot TB coolant rotates it back to normal running position.

Read this thread about PFC idle:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/how-make-your-untuned-pfc-basemap-safer-idle-better-no-datalogit-needed-841706/

read posts 1, 23, 27, 28 . They all explain a lot about idle control on cars that don't have any vacuum leaks or other mechanical problems.

Think maybe a fuel injector could be leaking or open to be causing the high idle?
