EGR Block plates?

Once in a great while I get the code for EGR valve. Anyways instead of replacing it can I just block it off? I know they make a block off plate for it. Is there any real need to have the EGR? Thanks!

You'll need the correct resistors for your 94 EGR to avoid having the computer flash the error codes if you use a block off plate as well as plugs for the vac lines.
93 year EGR valves did not have the computer harness, apparently.
Do a search on it here in the forum, I know the information has been posted numerous times.
