EGI Wiring - Fuse blows, everthing still works
I am having a problem with my EGI fuse blowing, which really sucks because normally the ECU gets its power from this fuse, so when it blows your car shuts off. Well after this happened to me and left me stranded a couple times, I completely rewired the engine harness with a haltech flying lead. The flying lead harness includes its own fuse block so it’s no longer on the EGI circuit.
So I just finished this flying lead install the other day and I took the car out tonight for a couple runs and low and behold the EGI fuse blows, but the car stays running and I drive it home. Really the only way I knew it blew was because all the idiot lights come on (check engine, charging light, etc.).
So does anyone have any ideas what could be left on the EGI causing the fuse to blow, there doesn’t seem to be any components left of that circuit, because everything is still working after it blows. I’ve gone over the diagrams in the FSM, but still kind of lost. Another thing is that it seems to only blow during a hard pull or right after a hard pull.

Its definitely not in the engine harness, the haltech flying lead took that out of the equation.

I have switched out the alternator with a known good one and it still blew. I have also replaced the wiring harness that goes to the alt and everything on that side of the car (starter, big engine grounds, etc.)
