i was driving my car last night and it stalled out on me. the air bag light was flashing 3 times. i came home to check the forum and someone told me to check the EGI fuse. so i did and it was blown. i took out the retractor fuse and put it in its spot and turned the key to on (didnt start it) and it blew about 3 seconds later. does anyone know what could be wrong?

So what do you think would cause a fuse to continually blow? (I'm trying to get you to do some pre-emptive deduction here).

 

You likely have a short to ground somewhere, which is REAL fun to try and find. Have you wired any aftermarket electronics into the car? That's the first place I'd check for problems.

If a power wire touches ground, the fuse will blow.

i installed my profec b spec I like 3 days ago and it ran fine for 2 days. i put the power wire in with the cigar lighter fuse and found a bolt with another ground wire already on it so i just shared the profec ground wire with that.
