Efini Turbos?

Does anyone actually have one of these in their cars? My primary turbo is kinda sick and isn't boosting like it should. I have a choice of rebuilding (cheap), BNRs stage 2 or 3, efini turbos (99 spec), or a small single like a rx-6 or a gt 35/40. This is my daily driver and I want something streetable, I don't race but I still want a fast car.

I'm leaning towards the efini because they spool fast and give decent top end compared to the stockers. My goal is isn't to go over 400 rwhp, just be near there . I need some speed and most importantly reliablilty. BTW, i'm kind a cheap bastard.

If I had the money I would go with the 99 twins.

Why? They will give you the same annoying problems that the stock twins did. It would be much easier for you problem wise if you got a single. Something like the Apex'i RX6 kit, or a T04E. It would eliminate 60% of the problems you had with the sequential twins. It may cost a little more upfront, but will be CONSIDERABLY cheaper in the long run and with more potential power if you use it or not. Just my .02 though. Laterz.

I personally like the sequential setup and he's only shooting for 400 RWHP. The sequential system, when all of th emissions equipment is removed, is pretty simple.

cheers to that.

id wait on the bnrs...i spoke with my old shop in cali today and they just had another set come in that was shot after only a few weeks of driving.

they still have bugs.

if you tune properly the 99s could get you over the 400 hump...but since only one person in the history of these forums has pushed the stockers to 400 I would doubt it. no one to my knowledge has done so with the 99s on this forum anyhow...im sure the jspec doods are rocking with them. but it will come down to tuning anyhow.

yer other choice is the m2 twins. if you want sequential that is the best setup on the market. Im pushing full stock torque numbers by 2800rpms...and from the dyno sheets i have seen...i have the best low end on the forums.

Well i'm not really looking to hit the 400's since I intend on keeping my stock cat, but of course more is better.
On another note don't the 99's boost better than the stockers?
