ECU upgrade necessary?

So far, the only significant change I've made to my RX7 is a downpipe. If I I put in the Pettit TKT Base Performance Package(TKT Cold Air Induction System, Stainless Catback Exhaust, and Power Pulley System), would it be necessary to upgrade the ECU? And just to throw it in, would the addition of a vented hood have any impact as well?

I've been reading around, and so far the opinions have been pretty mixed.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if you are planning even more mods after the performance package.

So I'm thinking that means I won't blow the engine with those mods still running on the stock ECU, right?

As long as you can keep the boost at 10 PSI. However, those mods can increase the likely-hood of boost spikes so adding an electronic boost controller wouldn't be a bad idea.

Exactly what I was looking for, much appreciated.
