ecu question
as of now my car has the stock ecu a dp and intake. i recently purchased a rotary performance ecu tuned for full exhaust, intercooler intake and 1 bar of boost. my questions is that would it be a bad idea to swap out the stock one and put in the chipped one as my car sits. wouldnt it run super rich? aside from that could i possibly run say 1 bar of boost with the rp modded ecu or would the increase in boost pressure not create enough extra hp to warrant the extra gas wasted?
oh and one more thing. if i ran the chipped ecu under normal non boosting conditions wouldnt the gas mileage be about the same, since im not under load and therefore not requiring the computer to dump a lot more gas in.

Running over 12 psi through the stock IC and exhaust is going to melt your turbos pretty quickly. You could run the RP ecu up to 11-12 psi and get a nice little power kick. I have no idea how rich the ecu will run on your car, you'll have to go to a dyno with a wideband A/F sensor to get that reading. Since it's easy enough to switch out the ECU temporarily, you could even do comparison runs....

okay thanx rynberg? i guess ill connect my mbc and swap it out and see if there is a difference. i gotta find a dyno with a wideband to be sure

you will probably toast your cat if you are running as rich as that ecu will probably run
and your gas mileage will probably be worse since it will be running richer (more fuel)
what exactly are you trying to accomplish? running higher boost?
