ECU question

hey guys just became a member i was currently a FC Turbo II owner back in 01. now im in the market for a FD preferably with the R package. my question is with the stock ecu how many mods can it take. For example with the stock injectors sent to RC so their like new and with a intake (M2 or blitz SUS), DP and a cat-back exhaust. and all the reliability mods, radiator, pulleys, thermostat, 4 #9 plugs, fuel pump and fuel filter can the ecu run fine without any boost creep or spike or will i have get the M2 ecu. Thanx in advance

You can run those bolt-ons just fine with the stock ecu, although you will likely need some form of boost control to maintain the stock 10 psi boost level.

There is no more user-friendly standalone ecu than the PFC. There is a lot of help with tuning on this board, as well as being in Miami, it shouldn't be that big a deal to get a group tuning day with Steve Kan.

Anyway, you are just starting out so take some baby steps. Keep the car in a mild state for a time while you learn more.

Oh, and you don't need an upgraded fuel pump with stock injectors.

Im in Miami, the best suggestion for now is using a piggyback like the Petit or other ECUs that let you run around 26 to 290 to the wheels (depending on mods) and then look for a reputable shop to get you any more power and what ECUs they use.
