ECU Problem
Hello,
I am having problems with my 1993 RX7 twin turbo touring addition. I sent my computer in to have it up graded, the new upgrade was suppose to change the fuel system and the timing to give it more horse power. When I got it back my car would only run about 30 miles per hour, so I sent it back, when I got it back they returned the computer back to stock. Then when I reinstalled it the car would still not start, no codes would come up. So I found another ECU and after installing it in the car would still not start and the codes will not come up. Could it have altered the sensors, and if so which sensor would it be and how could I find it since the car will not spit out any codes. Where should I start looking?
Thanks again,
Bill

Who did the ECU mod? A reputable vendor who really knows 7’s?
Battery disconnected during all removal/installations?
Did/does the engine caught or sputter at all? Could it be flooded now?
Battery fully charged and the engine cranks normally?
Checkout the fuses and relays. There are at least 5-6 fuses that might cause this: engine, fuel pump, EGI, etc.
Have someone stand by the fuel filler with the cap off and listen while you first try and crank the motor. Do they hear the fuel pump for a few seconds?
Since you've had the ECU in and out twice, I'd take a close look at all pins in its wiring connector. Maybe one or more have been bent, broken off, or pushed back into the connector to the point that they aren't making contact.
Start checking voltages and grounds at ECU.
Start checking individual sensors.
Good luck.
Good luck.
