ecu ?
Can the ecu from a 93 be put into a 94 or 95
without any major problems? I ask because my 94 egr sensor (I think thats what its called) was replaced worked ok but a month later still getting same code so I am thinking maybe its the ecu. Also have a pfs pmc would that work the same on a 93 ecu?

ECu
I have the Pettit ECu and it has the 93 part number on it and I'm running it in a 94.....Pettit said no problem don't think you can use a 94 to 94 in a 93 though.

93 ECU in a '94
I currently have a '97 J-spec engine in my '94 that does not have a EGR valve.
When the original '94 engine blew a seal, and the warranty company denied the claim due to downpipe and cat-back mods, I bought this '97 <30K mile engine and had Pettit install it. The only initial problem was that the '94 ECU looked for that electrical signal from the '94 EGR valve and since there was no signal, I got a continual Check Engine Light Code 16 error. So, to rectify the problem, Cam Worth at Pettit said to find a '93 ECU, because this is the main diff between the ECU's. When I replaced the '94 ECU with a '93 ECU, the problem was rectified, since the '93 ECU doesn't look for the EGR valve.
In your case, if you want (or need) the EGR valve to work you could replace it with a mechanical '93 EGR valve to match the replacement '93 ECU or stay with the '94 and buy another '94 EGR valve ( I have my "old" but working '94 valve for sale on tpt for $30 shipped !!)
Hope it helps

Pettit ECU
I purchased the ECU from a private party and it was programed for a 93 with the same mods I'm running, not in particularly for my 94. That's why I called Cam to find out if this was a workable installation.
