Ebay Turbokit Update: more boost

So last night i got my mbc and i went ahead and installed it. After a couple runs and turning up the boost i got it up to around 8 psi. I wanted to go to 10-11. But i didnt know how many more threads i had to screw it in so i left it at 8 for the time being just to see how it feels.

The car felt alot better. It was getting smoother through the powerband cause it wasnt running excessive rich i think. It sounded a little different tho. It sounded like it gradually got louder til u hear the wastegate opens vs. the wastegate just slamming open and the sound just instantely changes.

Well anyways, I went from 5psi to 8psi. I proceeded to race my brother again on the freeway. Right when we get on the freeway and i pull towards the fast lane while midly getting on it, a bmw 6 series spots me and pulls up to next to me on the furthest lane, And i could tell he wanted to go. So he gets about a car ahead of me and So i thought why the hell not, lets just test out this 8 psi. And i drop it to 3rd to get ready then he just goes for it and he gets a little distance on me so i have to play catchup. By the top of 4th gear, around 7,000 rpm i caught him and reeled him in til his front bumper is at my door, and we shut down and slow down. Then he just does a flyby on me and keeps goin. Those things have 333hp. I dont think his chrome 20s helps him tho

So i go to race my brother, this time starting in 4th when i think i should have been in 3rd. but this time i pulled on him through 4th gear. It was no doubt that with just 3 more psi, i was pulling.

Cant wait til i go home and turn it up to 10ish. That should be temporarily satisfying til i get my wideband. Once i do, im going to either buy a 10psi spring and drop that in and up the boost, or go straight to the 1 bar spring.

I think ill be okay to go to 10. The maps were meant for 14psi on a bigger single.

My flames are nice and orange now! my friend got one on video!

Just be careful and safe with the AFRs.

But on another note, the car will be fast and a lot of fun. It will bring you one of the largest smiles you've ever had. Five bucks says your cheeks start to hurt from the grin you'll have.

Makes me want to pull my car out of hibernation for a bit.

they do hurt, especially cause i had a girl in the car and shes never been in it. So she was kinda freakin out, sayin her adrenaline was pumping. and of course thats always a good sign.

Which ebay kit did you use? Do you have any pics? Is this the obx manifold and HKS wastegate with XS turbo?
