ebay intercooler piping
Any of you guys had any experience with the intercooler piping kits you can get on ebay? Its like an 8 piece kit with a varity of bends for 70 bucks. I know you usually get what you pay for but its just pipes. Can their really be a problem with using these?

I ordered a set a long time ago for my Mazdaspeed 6. The set I got was very thin and the finish scratched very easy. They did the job but if you over tighten the clamps it will bend the pipe.

never had too much of an issue. I've used several "CRX Racing" (or whatever they are called) kits and yeah they scratch easily however if you just leave the plastic on they don't scratch as much.
The only thing that I have found is that with the smaller 2.5" kits, the clamps are not as good as the 3" plus kits. I have never bent pipes with either.
A competent welder can weld the thin pipes together.

used the 2.5? cx racing pipes for my "custom" intake for the twins. the worked fine. i definitely dont consider it "thin" i thought it was a downfall on how thick and heavy they were... definitely thicker then my greddy pieces... never had issues of it bending, especially with a clamp. i got the black version and scratches like no other.
