easy way to get water out of the radiator ?
guys, it's gettin cold over here in kraut-land :p and i need to fill up some anti freeze, coz the mixture has too much water. but for that i gotta get out some water (clever eh?
) i'm lazy so im thinking about blowing water in the filler neck or the ast
so water would swap out and i cann refill it. does that sound REALLY dumb? anything wrong with it? could that cause BIG airbubbles in the cooling system? just a smat idea that came across my mind

Unfortunately, I think draining the radiator may be the quickest way for you to "add" more coolant to your current mixture.
You could siphon the mixture out of the top. Or you could even drain part of the mixture by releasing your upper radiator hose, but ultimately you may waste more of the coolant trying to get an ideal coolant mixture. Not to say that it can't be done, but draining it would be my choice.

David - Just drain it from the lower rad hose. It will be messy since you said you don't have a drain plug. Flush the hole system and to make sure you get all of it out. Open the drain plug between the front and rear spark plugs an inch above the oil pan.

Or you can just drain it off the engine block. the stock FD has 2 Coolant drain plugs, 1 on the radiator and 1 on the block, just drain the one on the block and for gods sake do it when the car is cold.
