E-Spec Glass Headlights?

Anybody have a picture of these? Came across someone mentioning them, but I don't think I've ever seen them before, in person or otherwise. On corksport's website, they list it as a glass lense correct for North American applications.

I have had a set for the past couple of years.

They are hard to distinguish from the U.S. plastic lens in a photo. Maybe a little more crystal clear.

You can also get them through Mazda Motorsports for $438 for the set.

As noted the Euro spec lens are glass with an improved beam pattern (more defined with sharper cutoff). Plus the light intensity is noticeably brighter.

IM not sure why many U.S. cars come with plastic lens, but they all dull over time due to ultraviolet light. Ours are not normally exposed to the sun so they don't get dull as fast.

Prior to purchasing the Euro lens I tried a couple types of Piaa bulbs, but never really noticed an improvement. Only a change in the shade of light (pinks & blue)

I bought the Euro lens & use SilverStar bulbs. IM very satisfied with the result.

As an option people have been importing the glass lens from the JDM cars. The major problem is that they are focused for RHD cars. The R/H lens has a sharp cutoff above the trunk line all the way across. While the L/H lens only has the sharp cutoff 2/3 across. The last 1/3 spreads out to illuminates road signs on the shoulder of the road. If used in a LHD car you would blind oncoming drivers.

They aren't cheap at almost $500 for the set (they come with bulbs). Flush headlights or HID's are popular, but seldom are just plug & play (& in some cases, not legal). There is something to be said for OEM parts
