E-Manage: Anyone used it?
I would start looking at options for sending payment to a USA resident. That way you can be ready to purchase a chipped ECU from someone on this forum. This shouldn't break your bank, and you won't have to worry about finding a good tuner.
Just FYI not all piggy back ECU's are bad. Yes you are correct that the Greddy E-Manage and the SAFC are not good options on FD's. However the HKS F-Con V-Pro with its 32X32 map is far superior to the Power FC, it acts as a standalone system but is hooked up as a piggy back ECU since you still need to run the stock ECU.
I know someone is going to say then why isn't it used, that’s because there are very few tuners here in the United States that will tune this unit (have to be an certified HKS Pro dealer) and there are even fewer tuners that are comfortable tuning a rotary who have the software to tune the HKS F-Con V-Pro.
Go to Japan (yes I know we are not in Japan) and you will see many more shops that will use this ECU even though it is a piggy back. It does however allow you to bypass all the stock computer settings so it’s like the stock computer isn't even there.
Plus it costs a whole lot more then the Power FC. Don't get me wrong the Power FC is a great ECU I run one now but I will be switching it out for the HKS F-Con V-Pro.
If you don’t or can’t get a Power FC go with one of the RE-Amemiya or Knight Sports tuned ECUs. They work great; I had an RE-Ameyia tuned ECU in my FD before I brought it over from Japan to the states. They allow you to run a little more boost than stock and are set up for mods like downpipes, upgraded twins or single setups, etc.
Here is the info on the HKS ECU:
The HKS F-CON V Pro is a fully featured standalone engine management system that connects as easily as a "piggy-back" fuel and timing controller. As modifications to a vehicle are made, the need for fuel and timing adjustments becomes critical for performance and safety. The F-CON V Pro with its 32x32 resolution for both fuel and timing maps is the optimal solution. The F-CON V Pro can control up to eight injectors and D Jetro or L Jetro setups. --- Injectors can be set to fire as batch, sequentially or staged. The F-CON V Pro can also read drive by wire vehicles. Programming is done via the HKS Power Writer software; which only Certified HKS Pro Dealers have access to. The HKS Power Writer software for the F-CON V Pro has some very unique abilities to simplify setup and tuning. Via the vehicle start up menus most Japanese import cars can be easily started by selecting the vehicle’s parameters (Make, Model, Engine and etc). Tuning is simplified due to the A/F Feedback control; where a target A/F value can be input and the F-CON V Pro will adjust fuel automatically. Also full data logging capabilities are built into the F-Con V Pro Power Writer software. All major vehicle conditions including; speed, rpm, water temperature, intake temperature, timing, boost, injector duty cycle and etc can be logged to an HKS Pro Dealer’s computer.

can somebody tell whats wrong with me jus getting a FCD for the boost cut? as i mentioned earlier i get intake, downpiping, rad, intercooler, walrbo n use the FPR n run 13psi...i would like to know WHY its not a good idea cuz i dont really get whats wrong with this idea
thought i had it nailed back there

No American can comment on the later model 16bit ECU with any certainty, but I can tell you that late model FDs came from the factory pushing 12+ PSI.
JDM FDs used 8bit ECUs from 92-95, halfway through the model year in 95 they switched to the 16bit ECU.
So in short, FCDs are just simply a bad idea for an FD. Now kindly stop asking the same question repeatedly hoping for a cheaper answer. If you want a cheaper answer, get an N/A car.
gotcha
ive just been advised by many not to go for chipped ecus cuz theyre "super dangerous" and there have been a few cases over here with guys trying chipped ecus n blowin their engines...cuz the timing is increased in these ecus n i dont knw how pure the fuel is in japan or wherever...91 octane is all i can get...hmmm i think its a pretty big risk...but i guess ill have to take it...neway thanks again to all of u for helpin me out... i see this ecu by mines for sale on ebay...ima try n get it somehow...fingers crossed...
i found this...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JDM-RX7-RX-7-F...QQcmdZViewItem gonna buy this if i dont find anything better...

Open your ears. That ecu is garbage and you will pop your engine with it. Even though youre probably gonna blow a few anyways at this rate.
your 3 options are(there are no others...seriously)
1)stay completely stock and keep your motor
2)get a pettit unlimited ecu, take it easy on the boost, and keep your motor
3)get a poower fc, go crazy with boost, and keep your motor
if you are not going to take our advice then QUIT ******* ASKING.

as far as everyone else goes thanks again for helpin me out im gonna do some more research of my own on the info u guys have given me n then let u guys knw
There is a car around here making 326 CWHP (C is for claimed) on mostly stock fuel system components.
It has a night sports ECU, with an adjustable FPR with the base pressure set at like 60PSI as per the ecu sticker, 4 850's and some kind of ND pump (supra?). The guy bought everything as a package all used from ebay strait from japan. I don't know if this kind of package was common or not, but this is about the cheapest way to make that much power, and not the way I would go about it
