Dyno Issues/Questions...

Hi Guys,

So I got my 7 dynoed today and I got some interesting results. The dude pushed the car to about 12psi on the first turbo and 15psi on the second turbo. The car was running rich but he backed off around 6100 rpms. Im posting the pics of the graph so I would really appreciate some insight to what the curves mean.

Why was there such a drop in the torque in from the second and the first turbo.

NOTE:
This was done on the Mustang Dyno and the standard conversion to Dyno Jet is the results multiplied by 15%.

1994 RX7 R2 Black

HP: 279.68 (To the wheels)
TQ: 238.28 (To the wheels)

Mods:
After market ECU (PMC Purple Box W/controller?)
Greddy Intercooler
Catback
Down Pipe
Blow Off Valve

Thanks

The shape of the torque curve looks fine. You have more torque past 4,400 rpms when the 2nd turbo comes on. Additionally since you stated you are running 12 psi on the primary and 15 psi after transition, you should have more relavent torque.

He probably should have run a little longer (6,800-7,000 rpms) you are close or a little lower than your peak horsepower rpm.

I didn't see an intake in your mods, could help out with the numbers. At 15 psi you should be making 330 rwhp plus... with a hi flow cat or midpipe and intake added to your mods.

Yeah, at 15PSI, you should be around 340WHP. Take it somewhere with a Dynojet - I wouldn't even bother running it on a Mustang...
