No personaly experience here, but i'll giveyou some insite since no one is replying.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Normally a fuel pump lasts pretty long as long as the fuel filter isn't clogged or something. If there was a way for you to check your fuel pressure, that is a good indication of a dying fuel pump. A rough idle wouldn't be from a bad fuel pump.

A good aftermarket would be the nippon denso supra TT fuel pump or the 20B cosmo fuel pump. Some say it's the same thing. Both are bolt in and use the same wiring as stock.

Not likely

It's not likely the fuel pump is going bad. Unlike may other parts, that one has not been a topic of considerable discussion. Personally, I think the Walbro pump sold at the rx7Store is a good deal. Much less that others and one of the best performers. the price of some pumps is really a joke for the insignificant difference (in some cases less) fuel flow. It basically drops in. Took me about an hour.

Testing the pump is easy. Down the manual and get a fuel pressure gage.
