Dual Pass Radiator for V-mount

I am working on a V-mount setup and am trying to figure out what to do about the radiator. I have seen a dual pass radiator used with both the inlet and outlet on the top to minimize hose length, but where can you get something like this? I have searched the web and cannot find anything. I think Rotary Extreme just modifies a Koyo or something in there kit. Im just trying to come up with the best solution without having to mod an existing radiator. I know Ron Davis made one for someone on the forums a while back for a v-mount setup but i cant seem to find any other info on it. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn’t find one that would work, but it is fairly simple and relatively cheap to just modify your own.

I cut the top tank off, and welded up the lower port, and got some appropriate channel aluminum extrusion, and made a sectional top tank with appropriate inlet/outlets for my application.

You can find a used one or almost new one here and modify it. Rather than buying a brand new one to cut up. One advantage to this, I think is that you can use your stock fans because the mounting tabs are all there.

Very nice. And you had room enough along the side to run the coolant hose or did you have to loop under the rad and up to the connection? This looks like the best option as far as modding goes.

Looks like this project is gonna force me to setup the MIG for some aluminum welding. Would be really nice to get my hands on a TIG.

Im no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but Im getting better the more I practice. Ive never welded aluminum though, so im gonna have to get some scrap and practice before i jump into this project.

I have plenty of room to run the coolant tube to the water pump. I'm using a flex hose from CoolFlex (http://www.coolflex.com/cfm/welcome.cfm). It won't burst and it conforms to the bends you need.

As far as welding aluminum, mig is messy and it's harder to weld. You can do it, you just need to practice it a bit and get the right heat and correct penetration. Tig is the way to go to get a nice weld.
