This kinda negates the purpose of a dual or quad since both exhausts appear to exit from the center area, but yea that appears to be the closest anyone has gotten to truely making a dual setup on an FD albeit by Abflug but by someone none-the-less.

I was thinking, I really want duels on my car, or at least a dual look.

So I was thinking, get a MP, get the xr1 welded in, take off the catback and just have piping (no more mufflers after the xr1) run from the end of the MP. Then jhave the shope weld on some tips.

I looked and there may be enough room to run just a pipe on the driver side next to the gas tank if a little trimming is done to some of the peices around there.

I realize this will likely restrice the flow a little, but not that much right? Wouldn't it look so tight to ahve dual flames shoot out?

What do you guys think?

BTW The age of this post shows that I DO use the search function.

lol... the FD3S has single exhaust for a reason. The exhaust comes out one side of the motor. So... the most direct route out the back of the car is to one side.

The FD has single exhaust because it is lighter. The FC has duals with the 13B motor exhausting on the same side as the FD. My old FC had a y-pipe after the main cat which I had hooked up to 2 Racing Beat mufflers.

So who wants to make one?

I would love to have dual singles. I suck at photoshop, but here's a pic of my car with dual singles. Sorry it's so dark.

That's about as good as I did. And I still wish I could get duals - oh well. Then you can shoot flames out of both sides

This must be "be a dick week". Is it the end of the summer or that everyone is going back to school?

Just run some sidepipes split to the sides off the midpipe. NASCAR-style. It negates having to screw with the fuel tank, but God is it going to be loud.

Performance-wise it can only hurt for an FD. With a n/a FC or an FB, a true dual setup would be helpful since each rotor gets its own pipe. With the turbo cars you have a single exit at the turbo manifold anyway so you'll just be splitting up a single pipe into a Y somewhere down the line. However, the resonance effect created by two pipes can make the car sound better, and imho it also looks better, but like everyone said, for an FD, its just not worth it due to the space restrictions.

I WANT DUAL STOCKERS! I'd kill myself if my turbo whine was drowned out by the riceboy, obnoxious, wanna-be-like-everybody-else fart-cannon. I wanna hear "whhhhiiizzzzzhzhzhZHZHZHZzzzz" and not "BRBRBRBRBRBRRRAAAAAAP!!!... Hey man, d4t H0nd4h 1S m@d t1t3, yO!!!!!11"

I like cheese. I wonder how Abflug did that setup. Anybody have any idea? Also here's a pic of a true dual setup.

I've always liked the two center-exit exaust systems... I'd never put it on my car, though.

Used 328 Ferrari's are actually quite affordable. I like the undercarriage paint job. You can see the issue from the underside on one of those shots. You guys really seem to like that shot of my FD with Ferrari logo's. Not my Photoshop job - I did the ones with the quad duals...
