I recently acquired the Spa Technique gauge and it looks to be a nice piece. It also comes with the probes, which look to be good quality as well. I am not exactly sure which "brand" they use, but I will try to get a picture of them. I should be completing my setup very soon on 99 spec twins with PFC datalogging. I am also doing an aquamist pre-turbo water injection setup if anyone cares to know. Remember... the spa gauges only go up to 1768 F. I don't plan on tuning above 1650F.. for now .

Ken

ken, I use the SPA technique dual egt gauge and love it. I've had it in the car for about 3 years. I dont know how much drag racing you plan on doing, but I can tell you that after my third trip to the drag strip and launching with the 2 step, the egt probe on the front manifold runner broke off and wrapped itself around the turbine wheel of my turbo. (you think apex seals damage turbine wheels, you aint seen nothing) I have since went with the probes from exhaustgas.com I havent launched the car on a 2 step with these new probes but the rep at exhaustgas.com assured me that these will hold up. he says he has had many ppl complain of the issue i had with the SPA probes. just something to think about.

the SPA guage is great tho. i love the peak hold and playback functions. best Guage investment I've made besides my FJO wideband.

Howard...How has the latest dual egt setup been working? Could you please summarize your current components. I'm looking at putting this together and would like to see the "difinitive" parts list...for dual loging to datalogit with guage(s), Always apreciate your input!

post 152 shows my probes... i don't remember whose amp i am running but it is working fine after a number of years.

i note that the same co that i settled on for the probes now offers an amp for approx $74. given their client list and my dealings w them i would recommend their offering.

as to how they are working... fine. only a few hundred miles and 10 pulls on the dyno so far but i should be back on the dyno tomorrow.

sample rate is 300 Ms.

you shouldn't need a poly. It should be a linear signal.
