Unhappy Drivers side pop up headlight issue

My drivers side headlights have just started to act up. (probably cause I said I'd go nonpop up soon)

When turning the lights on or off, the drivers side pop up goes crazy and goes up and down about 5 times before finally going its end position.

Same thing happens when pressing the retractor switch.

The lights work, high beams good, etc. Right side acts perfect.

Ran through the body electrical troubleshooting and found continuity at all points, relay recently replaced under 500 miles. Wires all seem to be connected securely, connectors clean.

Any ideas?? Just a bad light motor?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't had an issue with mine for a while now, but you might try bumping this thread to see if the OP or anyone else found a solution ---> https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...river%27s+side

Mine did that after I had worked on it and there was a SLIGHT clearance issue (not even noticeable). I fixed the clearance issue and hasn't happened since. It was almost like it couldn't quite finish its cycle properly and the only thing it knew to do was reverse the cycle. Check it carefully. . .have you done any work in that area lately?

Yes I have...and I removed the crappy buckets and housings that were there...had them replaced with ones I bought from RX7 Rage. I tweaked on them last night to fix what I saw as a clearance issue. VERY minor as it was rubbing the inside rubber bumper liner enough to bend it down.

I tested it last night with no issues whatsoever so maybe this was it??? Skeptical though as it really doesn't seem like that bit of resistance should cause this.

But hey...working this am...so I better quit complaining...
