Driver window switch, simple cheap upgrade

About a week or so ago, my driver's window switch crapped out. When I pulled it, I found that it actually melted. Looking to order one, it was a almost $300 (yikes). Ebay had a bunch listed aftermarket for $20. I went ahead and rolled the dice on the gamble. As expected, it showed up a and wasn't an exact fit and the bezel felt cheap. Luckily though, with a couple of minutes with a screwdriver and I was able to swap it out. Works great and it also has auto down for the passenger window now. Sure it's not oem, but you can't beat the price and get something made in this decade

I believe there was a post about this awhile back. My concern is the significant difference in the gauges of the wires on the back. Of course I have this same switch myself and haven't had any issues, but it does cross my mind from time to time.

My cheapo stopped working after less than a year. Double auto down was neat though...

My switch fell apart from age when the best buy auto techs pulled the panel off to install the remote start & driver door lock actuator. That replacement switch is meant for a USDM car, so the switches were reversed, but de pinning a few wires on the switch side fixed that completely. Hopefully it continues to work fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't due to quality.

I've had one in my car for a little over a year now and it's been fine.
