Downpipe question
Hi,
i have an easy question. I recently bought a hks downpipe for stock twins, got it sand blasted and now want to get it ceramic coated. before i do this i want to add a weld-in bung for a wide band 02 sensor. I know that the bung has to be either 3 o clock (-10°) or 9 o clock (+10°) position. My problem is we have winter time here an i cannot check how exactly the downpipe is mounted to find the correct position for the bung. For that i'd like to ask you. I made the following picture:

Is the connecting flange to the cat in 100% horizontal position (180°)? Or is the bracket in vertical position (0°)? that would mean the flange holes are not exactly 180° ... another option is that the flange to the turbos is in 0° position. What is it? Some of these must be in a tilted position, but i don't know which one(s) ...

I have an HKS downpipe and recently had to redo my bung. I wasn't satisfied with what the shop did as it was sitting too low to the ground for my liking.

It is at a 90 degree angle. I should also note that I needed to have it sit flat in order to use the Innovate wideband 02 sensor heat sink properly. The way I had it before....it would have scraped the ground.
I had the Dp on the car and marked where I wanted the o2 bung (with the heatsink and o2 sensor screwed in). I got the wiring routed under the passenger footwell area. Had to drill a hole into the floor, but it is sealed with a rubber grommet. Some people route it through the shifter, but I didn't like the idea of having my wiring routed that way. Up to you.

just to be sure that i understood you: concerning your picture your new bung hole lines up with the flange holes. If thats correct and your bung is 90°, than the flange is in 180° horizontal positions while the bracket is tilted. can you confirm this? Do you have a left hand drive car? I ask because it would not make much sense to do the bung on the right site on a right hand drive car when you wan to route the cables through the passenger footwell area. Is there anything else influencing 3 or 9 o clock position or is there enough space in both directions?

I wouldn't say it is perfectly lined up with the flange holes, but it is really close. As long as you are close, you shouldn't have a problem with it working as I left some wiggle room for movement. Correct, I drive a lhd fd.
assuming the flange holes are in horizontal position then your bung is a bit more to the top (-10°) right? a picture from below of a stock car would solve this issue, but google has no :S.
