double throttle control solenoid question

While changing the air intake thermosensor I accidentally broke the nipple off the double throttle control solenoid that connects to the UIM. Just wondering what this will do to the car? I plan on doing the vaccum hose job over the winter (so I can replace the solenoid then) but am wondering if it will be okay to drive until then.

I completely removed the double throttle from my car. Just cap the nipple on the UIM for now.

I would also wait for a second opinion or two.

Yea, cap the nipple and you should be good... double throttle isnt vital to engine operation or performance, it is merely to protect against boosting when the engine is cold. Just be VERY careful not to boost at all until the car is warmed up

I ditched the double-throttle control (DTC) and accelerated warm-up system (AWS) on my car. It's a pretty easy job and simplfies things a little:

Thanks for the quick responses. I will just cap the UIM since I always wait for the car to be at normal operating temp before boosting.

I suggest that you cap both sides on the UIM. The other hose from the soleniod connects on the back side of the UIM.
