from double din to STOCK radio

was wondering has any one went from a double din back to the stock radio ? or single deck with OEM pocket?

i ask because my FD has got a full double din for about 10 years now and of course the middle separator had been cut for the double din to fit.

now that i feel the double din thing is played out and like to return back to stock or just a more simpler setup like a single deck. however, with out the middle bar is it possible to do so ?

I think it will all go in there fine without the middle separator. There are clips on the left and right sides of the pockets and stock stereo that hold the component in place.

I believe that separator is just cosmetic.

This probably doesn't cover this exact detail of converting back to single DIN, but I went from a single DIN aftermarket unit to a stock unit after getting it restored. See this thread. https://www.rx7club.com/interior-ext...-bose-1112087/
