I've already spoken to an auto locksmith. He only deals with people who have left the keys in the car and are locked out. He told me a few things I could try to possibly get it open but they have all been tried already!

Hi, I have already tried to get the internal lock **** to move but it was stuck in place. I continued to try to get it to move and now whatever's attached to the back of it (cable) has comes away and now the lock **** flips up and down freely with no resistance!!.....and believe it are not.....you guessed right it's still locked

I'm going to wait a little longer before I even consider destroying the door card Just in case someone's comes up with the answer to the $Million Dollor$ question...????

I still feel that it can be opened directly from the locking mech, it's just knowing what to hook to???

Thanks for everyone's input so far...

It seems something(s) would have to be removed improperly(damaged) to get this access with the door stuck closed.

Has anyone had an issue opening the door from the outside but not the inside? My door handle on the driver's side snapped so I've just been going in through the passenger side for awhile until a few days ago I pulled up on the passenger side handle and nothing happened. The handle flap seems to be intact and I pulled the panel off (the door still opens from inside. I played with the part that rotates around the latch and the outside handle won't make it return to the position to be able to close the door, but the inside does. I've tried to crane my neck in there, but no real luck unfortunately.

Push the lock toggle to unlock and hold it like that while you open the door . This is what I am living with right now./

Rice I think I have the same issue as you. If so you need to take the door handle mechanism off and take it apart. This will be a pretty crappy explanation as I am away from home.

Once you have the handle off the car there is a brass looking piece of metal that has a little tab on it. For me that bent and now my handle only moves part way. I've fixed it on both sides but my driver side went again so that tab gets weaker with each bend.

I'll try to find some pics later to try and explain better.

Just a note, can't steal a car with no steering wheel.

NRG quick release and hub lock for the win

Thank you! I'll try it out tomorrow. Any idea if that part is included when a new door handle is ordered at the affordable price of $260?

Sorry, I forgot about this. The green circle is the tab that bent for me.

Awesome thank you very much. My aluminium door handles get here tomorrow so I'll mess with them on Wednesday and hopefully have two fully functional doors for the first time in I don't know how long.

Hi, i have a rx7fd and have left the keys inside. I have disabled the alarm but am unable to open the doors as the locks for both the doors have jammed. I have flipped open the lock and tried my best to pull the cable but its of no help. I have open the weather strips on the doors but can't seem to see anything inside that can help to open the doors. Only choice i have is to break the glass. Is there any other way to get in without damaging the car. All the help is appreciated.

A professional locksmith has the right tools and can easily open an FD up in a few minutes. I would imagine they would be available in your area.

Basically they get a tool between the window and the door molding and hook the rods inside the door to pop the unlock.
