FL Door Switches --How they Hook up??

Just received new door switches (lights on etc) and it looks like the old wiring prong was different on our car than the new switches have?

The wire/prong on the right is what has been in the car and the new switch on the left is the plunger.

I may be missing a piece or perhaps the switch was changed over time, anyone know/remember?

Thanks for any help,

looks like that plug has a release on it that will allow that brass piece to come out.

that doesn't look at all like a first gen switch. Is this in the right section?

First-gen switches mount with two philips screws, and the wire terminal screws onto the end.

Looks like an FD switch to me.

And as said above it looks like someone pulled the contact out of the original switch.
Button gets pushed on the black connector, copper contact piece slides out, after that it should just plug right in.

This, you have the old wire blade stuck in the connector pull it out, and it will all make sense..

as stated above, push the center "button" down to pull blade out...

Used the pliers and pulled out old pieces, plugged in the new switches and all is good.
Thanks for the help.
