door handle failure
Okay so I was posting question's on a different thread and I got no feedback, so here's a new one..
The problem:
Driver side door handle moves up and down when lifted.. but won't open the door.
What might have happened:
My friend went to my car to get something out of it, and he said he tried opening the door and it was difficult to open(real stiff).. him needing his sunglasses, he pulled up hard and he heard something "snap"...
I decided to take a look at it by exposing the door handle assembly and noticed that the actual door handle itself wasn't connected to a copper toned rod. I've read on other threads that the door handle widens over time causing it become flimsy and separates form the door lock linkage.
Question:
Do I get a new door handle? or...
Do I need a new door handle assembly?
thanks.
