Dont you just hate Ebay - but love credit cards!

Dont you just hate ebay?

Sleek headlight kit, £300
Stainless Back box, £130
Wheels, £150
Logging on to ebay and seeing a single turbo kit going for £300, no bids, 16m to go...PRICELESS!

By the middle of next week, i will have in my possession:

6 brand new Pillow Ball bushings
Dragon performance stainless strength bar with radiator mounts
performance brake pads
new stainless exhaust
sleek headlight kit
set of standard wheels
Large single turbo
external wastegate
new BOV
rebuild kit, including new housings and used end plates, plus new oil pump, chain, and eccentric shaft

Plan is to pull the motor, install the new bushings, stainless strength bar, brake pads, exhaust, headlights, rebuild motor, respray the bay, reinstall motor.

Then, use the old end plates etc to fab up a manifold for the single turbo, and by that time hopefully i would have paid off my credit cards, then i can afford my Rays wheels that i have on order, buy a PFC and serious power here we come!!!

I think he is talking about the JDM black box rats nest elimination for the vacuum hoses? I actually love E-bay and hate Credit Cards. The CC's give you excuses to use E-bay. Its a vicious cycle. On the lighter side, I have saved thousands of dollars on E-bay on all kinds of stuff. Its the ultimate thrift store. New and Used, anything you can imagine. I wish I would have thought of it.

back box i mean muffler, sorry im english haha.

I think it *might* be an ssautochrome turbo, although im not sure. Its not labelled as one, but not labelled as any brand. It was cheap, for the UK anyway - turbo, wastegate (External) BOV, gaskets and seals for £330. A regular KKK K04 turbo over here (fitted to 1.8t audi's and vw's etc) is around £750 new for just the turbo unit, so i think 330 for a turbo, wastegate, BOV and gasket kit isnt bad.

If it turns out to be crap, ill just sell it - or fit the turbo to a little 1.8 4 pot engine ive got laying around and blow the crap out of it.

Whats so wrong with the ebay turbos anyway? ive heard people have built 500hp with ebay parts?

In any case, it wont be going on the car for a LONG time, ive got an engine rebuild to do, an exhaust manifold to fab up, £3000 of credit bills to pay, £2200 of rays wheels to pay for, a radiator to buy and THEN i can think about fitting the turbo and buying a PFC.

I just bought it because it was there really, and seemed cheap.

wow. I was wrong. BTW, you don't want the rats nest elimination black box. It is all the sloenoids and check valves in one simple box piece. It is impossible to fix any individual parts inside the box, it would need to be replaced if a check valve went bad. check it out. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...nest+solenoids

read in the single turbo section. alot of the ssautochrome parts are prone to failure. esp the turbos.
