KD Rotary!!!!! These guys are GREAT!!! I went there with a friend and got a guided tour. They took time to answer all of my questions until I finally started feeling bad about taking up so much of there time. They were sooo helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. I have only heard GOOD things about them!!!!!! It's too bad that I live 3 hours away!!!

Also, that site is a permanent feature of our Club website, and I really don't want to be saddles with the responsibility of copying accurately what people are saying.
I'm not on a pro or anti vendor or PFS rampage. I am offering a SERVICE.
You either get it or you don't...

Rate them, view them, find them, print them off and put them under your pillow.
You really couldn't ask for a better vendor resource. And it will only get better with time...

I wouldn't let Peter rotate my tires (he'd probably steal my centercaps or wheel locks). The problem with PFS is Peter himself. He's a major ***** with overpriced, shitty products ($165 for a Tokico?). Stay away if you love your car and value your money. North of Manassas, I would go to KD. South, I would go to Rotorsports Racing (don't listen to DK, they're great).
And Peter, if you're man enough to be reading these posts, you're a lousy ******* tuner, race car driver, and human being.

Chris,
Did you talk to Matt yet about those dings? If they happened while the car was in his care I'm sure he will make things right for you. He goes the extra mile.

He also had a nice oil leak and the filler neck wasn't properly reinstalled. He also said they did something funny with his rotors or something ... showing him "bad" ones that he knew couldn't have been his or something like that. They may be "friendly" ... but so was that dood on Franklin Street today trying to give me LSD stickers. That's the first negative thing I've really heard about RotorSports, but I've wondered if maybe some people are quiet about them since they do visit these boards. Or it may have just been a fluke ... they seem nice enough. I'm not trying to be mean -- I'm just sharing information. Personally I won't take my car there or anywhere else because at this point the only person in the automotive world that I trust is me.

Ok, so I'm completely off topic here, but...
DK-
Dood! Gasket set! Parties! Women!!! (multiple) We need to get together and hang out man!
Oh yes...
Peter is an *******... everytime I've met him and talked to him he's had his " holier than thou " attitude... even when I was @ Pettit Racing and called him from Cam's office to ask his opinion on something... he basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about... and I was basically quoting Cameron Worth. Now he didn't know that, and he proceeded to feed me a bunch of BS...
hmph... no PFS for me!

If you have the money to retire, I suggest you take those chips and buy some Hooked on Phonics so your *** can learn to read what the **** I'm typing and stop attacking me for clearly presenting an experience with an open mind. (And Devilish, you should heed some of the words in this post, too ... I wasn't attacking them, I was sharing an experience that a good friend of my brother had ... while making sure I presented it with objectivity)

cvs,
No I haven't told him, I feel bad because he didn't have too much control over it. I guess I am just bitching. That would be cool if he did fix things but then again he wasn't going to charge me for just looking at the car so I figure it isn't like me paying for work at Mazda then them dinging the car. I guess I have to suck it up and go on. Other than that you guys should talk to him about any work, just try to get your car worked on that same day.
1FAST7,
yeah, I should be up there on most weekends around a few VWs and a blue Cobra Mustang
Mods...
Engine:
Racing Beat Catback
K&N drop in
HKS SSQV blow off valve
Other:
S2000 starter
Blitz FATT Type-S turbo timer
Autometer water & boost gauges
'99 Tails
Tint

Jesus - you guys sound like a bunch of teenage girls talking on the phone. Rumors and innuendo....... DK likes to stir things up and make everyone think about what's really goin' on.. and what's wrong with that? His humor and candor can be a little obtuse at times, but at least he's giving some thought to stuff - and 90% of the time he's right on the mark. Having said that I think it's unfair of ANYONE to dis someone unless they have had personal experience with them.
I learned enough from my ONE contact with Peter to form an opinion that he's a primadonna, and my ONE contact with KD to realize that they know about customer service and actually do care about what they are doing. Are they perfect? - probably not, but there is no question in my mind that they give it 100% effort.
There are ALWAYS going to be customers that are never satisfied, and the ones that walk away without telling the business they are unhappay should be hung, castrated and shot. They basically don't have any fortitude to begin with, and will be abused and miserable the rest of their lives since they have no *****. Male or female. They are called victims.

Whew, talk about a thread on fire!
Heh, I posted and came back days later to find a page plus! Glad to see others backing up what I said about credit cards. I KNOW someone who's in the performance repair business so I know about the grief credit cards can be. I also know that his business wouldn't be as healthy as it is if he DIDN'T take cards. When I told him Peter no longer took cards his eyes bugged out!
Jeff was still at Peter's when I was last there so his leaving must have been recent. It was mentioned that Jeff was going to start his own business, will it be RX7 related and is he still local? It seemed like Jeff was one of the few good things going over there and some of us need work done - I'd be willing to give him a try if he's professional about it.
I'd also like to hear more about the other rotary shop in town. I've only heard a little about them but it seems I'll be needing a clutch soon and they seem a logical choice for the work assuming they get a thumbs up here. I have no idea what I need in the way of a clutch but this one won't last much longer - especially when the air cools down I've been told 3rd hand that they do older 1st an 2nd gen cars and leave the 3rd gen stuff to Peter - is this true?
KD is an option as well but they're not close by. I guess I'd goto them if he local place isn't interested in diving into my boost issue. That's a bit of a haul so I have to think lon and hard before heading up there. I know one of their techs (John?) is down in the NOVA area during the weekends (or as anyway) so I've considered simply hooking up with him and letting him take the car - has anyone done this? Is John still up there?
I'm simply looking for someone to do honest work who cares about the customer. These are complicated but fun cars and I'm willing to pay a fair price. I'm to the point where I probably won't do additional mods but I KNOW I've got to be on the edge of leaning out. I'll need computer tuning once my purple is upgraded and installed, who can I goto? This is one of the things I was going to have Peter do but if he can't accept cards and is down to one tech forget it. I feel for him but he's done this to himself, sadly I don't think he'll have learned anything and will blame the community rather than looking in the mirror. I hate to see a tuner go under but perhaps a better one will rise to take his place and learn from his mistakes?
You guys in Manassas, give me a shout! morejunk4me@hotmail.com is a good address for me. I hit Burger King Saturday nights sometimes but hope to be driving a V8 Datsun Z up there soon. Not to worry, the RX is my "driver" and isn't going anywhere. I don't cruise Mathis much, sorry (lol). I'd describe my car but I'd prefer Peter NOT know who I am since he still has dealings with friends of mine that he jobs work out to.
