I've searched but only found the removal of the dome light on a touring model. Which I assume would be different due to control of the sun roof.

Does an R1 or even base just have two clips at both ends long ways as well?

 

Yeah, its just two clips on each end. Pry one side off and then it will drop down. You can unclip the harness and it will come out.
