Im pretty sure I could out drive any of you in a road course becuase of it. Ive had plenty of driving in my friends VR-4 before his timing belt went. Drivings driving, the cars preformance just depents on how fast you can go and how well you can hold a corner.

You couldn't outdrive us in an RX-7. Their timing belts go all the time, it's the leading cause of engine rebuilds.

i dont think this car is for you. Too much down time. Too costly. You cannot learn how to drive from a video game. Its just not gonna happen.

I can tell you that I suck at those racing games such as grand tourismo but I feel very comfortable only in a fd. I never take my car to the max around corners or banks I would say im at 50% throttle and scared shitless. Its as far as Im willing to push it because thats fun already and smashing my car into a wall isnt fun and will never happen.

KT's_94FD what happened you did a whole flip. First I thought you wanted a 94 auto because you just liked the 7 and appreciated that it was in good shape. Then you go crazy and say you want a single turbo and intercooler and you drive like a maniac! This car is NOT for you it does need to be setup right and maintained or it will break every time until you fix it. Its not a beeter that you drive the **** out of every day its a legendary sports car that can hang with hundred thousand + cars even though its 11 years old. Trust me bro this is not the car for you. Im not looking down on you and saying that im just trying to help out. You will suffer if you get this car it is not for your needs. Get a supra, that is a really nice car and suits many different peoples needs and you will be popular.

i totally agree with surgemonster the supra will last your for a long time ....beat the **** out of that car...and please never touch an FD until you learn that video games are fake and no matter how realistic they get ...it is still fake....learn more.....save up 50,000 and then tell yourself you are going to get an FD...because if you drive the FD like you said you like to drive...then you are going to need 50,000+ hahahah ahh man this kid is relentless

LOL. i dont think a nice car is gonna help this kid out.

how about this:

get your mom to dive you around, and have a tv screen installed in the dash of her car, that way you can play racing video games while she drives where you need to go, and you can FEEL like you are driving like a race car driver!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get an FD until you are a few years older. If you admit that you push the engine and yourself to the limit, then you are too stupid and immature to jump to a high performance sports car, like the RX-7. You would be better off in a mini, or something similar, with less power, so you don't wreck it and hurt someone else.

Its way to easy to get this car going the wrong way if you don't exercise caution. You have admitted that you can't. You need to get a bunch of tickets, have a few accidents first, to realize that you need to learn how to moderate your driving.

I thought about it all day at school today. The money I ould want to put in it would be for preformance not mantaince. Most of the crazy driving I do is at night when no one is on the road. I also drive on back roads due to the fact that they are less traveled more turns and I dont ever really go over the speed limit, If I do any thing over 35 on a hard corner I break lose. I realy only have 3 gears of speed, 4&5 cant red line because I have a 90MPH fuel shut off and 3rd only takes me to 70.

When I first started to look for a new car I was looking for a VR-4 this would be a better pick for me and the way I drive and thie things I want to do to the car. I went to Sebring last weekend to watch the La mans races. They had this car show thing there and they had a handfull of RX-7's. As i think about it now most of them didnt have any huge upgrades. Most of them just had new air intake, engine dress up, new head lights, carbon fiber hood, 99' tails, rims, suspention. I think I would have to really drive one for a bit to see how well I liked it.

I only have one speeding ticket from 2 years of driving like this. I dont have a radar detector either. I admit I do push hard but I know when to quit. I dont drive like that in the rain, I have a hard time keeping traction as it is. I feel that when you get a car with less horsepower it tends to come with less preformance. And why dump money in to a car that has 115hp I4 engine any way? Its a waste of time and money.

My truck is in premo condition except for a few dents on my door from some dude at work that hit me pulling in to fast with his civic.

Im just not use to a sports car that you would keep stock. Supras, Skylines, VR-4, STi Imprezas are what im use to. High mods high power. Not keep it generaly stock and have fun. I was just looking at the car wrong. Your only 19 and it really shows in your post, you the only one on here that had nothing but a flame to post. funny huh?

the reason they (at daytona) have so few mods is because it doesn't take many mods to get the speed/power out of it and i don't really think you know what you're looking for in the first place... but those few are a FEW thousand$. you have no idea what you are getting into...

you've owned skylines, supras and all that crap? grow up, life isn't a game. you can't just hit the reset button when you kill someone.

one ticket in two years of driving? i have none, i'm 22 and i enjoy my cars. triumph spitfire, dodge stealth, porsche 944, acura RSX-S. i've had my time to build up to it. trust me, going from a TRUCK of all things to a car that can perform like the FD, you're asking to spin it.

paraphrase "yeah i wanna throw on an FMIC and a single turbo" that's great. FMIC $1200 for a decent one... and what $3k for a good single kit? hmm... great... now add that $1300 engine management unit you need to control all that crap. how about the $250 for a downpipe and $500 for a cat-back. should probably get an intake kit.. there's another $250... gagues and pods $300... and from the sounds of it at LEAST $1500 in performance stickers. you see where this is going? get the supra, leave us alone.

guys, i know they are ballpark and some are high, some are low, but i'm trying to make a point. just let it go k?

you have already embarassed the **** out of yourself by displaying your complete lack of maturity in general, and litte (if any) understanding of the FD.

supras, skylines, vr-4's, sti's are what you are used to? have you ever even seen a skyline in real life? playing video games and looking at pictures on the internet does not mean you "are used to" those cars. i can say that i have driven all of those cars, yes including the skyline.

you clearly know nothing about the FD, and probably wouldnt have one longer than two weeks if you bought one (im sure you would sell it because of lack of $ for repairs, or total it).

just so you know, i drove a 94 (5.0) mustang GT before my FD, and even though the mustang was two seconds slower, it wasnt as slow as a pickup truck. atleast the two years of driving it (the mustang) gave me a little more experience driving a RWD car with a decent ammout of power (yes not that powerful, but with light mods it ran a mid 14 quarter mile)

i also have worked high paying part time jobs for the past few years, and currently work for two different magazines & as an internet sales & marketing consulating for a jewelry company. so i can pay for everything my car needs. (like how it is in the shop right now getting the lower intake gasket replaced which is going to cost me over $700 in parts and labor...)

you are clearly too immature and ignorant (about cars in general) to drive, maintain, and mod an fd.

even my 16 year old brother is a better candidate to drive an FD than you.

Where did I say I have ever owned any of those cars? I simple said that I'm use to those cars with high mods. You never see any Rx's with crazy add mods or power.

As for the cars I have driven:
Managers SE-r Sentra 03'
His dads Saleen 95' and lightning 01'
Supra Turbo 95'
VR-4 92'
03' & 04' STi Impreza

I’ve taken 4 driving classes all of the instructors said I’m an outstanding driver. When I drive crazy I do it on light traveled back roads I’m not one of those morons you see zipping in and out of traffic doing 100 on the interstate. I hardly ever go over the speed limit, ever. In fact what am I talking about I drive very well. I have complete control over the vehicle at all times 100%.

atleast the two years of driving it (the mustang) gave me a little more experience driving a RWD car with a decent ammout of power (yes not that powerful, but with light mods it ran a mid 14 quarter mile)
Stock Civics run about 16's and have 3-4 if not more car lengths on civics depending on the driver and mods.

I went out to bithlow (race track kind of place) one weekend and practiced locking up my breaks all the way up to 80mph. I know what I’m doing when I’m on the road. I’ve been to 4 driving schools I know what I'm doing.

As for playing games... GT3 is basically a driving simulator minus a couple of things. They took cars out to the track and tested them. I know it’s not the real thing but the game hold alot of good driving techniques in there.

Butwhat ever I can see I’m not welcome so good by. If I do end up getting a FD ill tell you how it ends up.

Riiiiiiiight. "A lot of good driving techniques in there." You've been staring at the TV too much, bud.

My advice: go back to school, and finish your english/grammar class....

GT3 is no where near a driving simulator... If you knew anything about actual driving you'd know this. There are quite a few games that are WAY more realistic than GT3. And driving ANY game with a controller, or crappy little tabletop steering wheel is nothing like real life. Don't even try to argue that its an arcade game, because that's not much better. You have no road feel, no sense of speed, no sense that you could die. Just give up, save the FD for someone who can handle it.

Butwhat ever I can see I’m not welcome so good buy. If I do end up getting and FD ill tell you how it ends up.
It's about time you've figured out that you're not welcome, but don't get the FD, since you'll crash a rare car, and most likely kill yourself, or others.
