Does your FD pull chicks?

I made a thread in the FC non technical section https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-non-technical-pictures-198/does-your-fc-pull-chicks-914534/ and maybe I will eventually make one in the 1st gen section too. I'd be interested to see how the responses differ across the generations of Rx-7.

For a thread like this, make your response in this format:

Your age:
Your car (model year, trim level, color):
Your mods that people would notice (briefly), especially exterior:

Answer to the question including age and description of females you are discussing:

Now technically I don't own an FD, but I'll go first by talking about an FD that I drive somewhat regularly. It belongs to a friend of mine whose current job requires basically 100% travel.

Your age: 25
Your car (model year, trim level, color): '94 PEP, Montego Blue paint that still shines
Your mods that people would notice (briefly), especially exterior:

R1 rear spoiler (this PEP car came with it from the factory, 100% sure)
FN01RC 17 inch wheels
Lowered on Tein Flex coilovers
HKS SSQV blowoff
RB dual tip exhaust, catless
Sequential twins currently burning oil (awaiting a single turbo build)

Answer to the question including age and description of females you are discussing:

It definitely turns heads and gets compliments from women in their 20s and high school girls. The last reaction I got from a female was when I was sitting at a light and the car had started pouring smoke out the tailpipe due to the turbos. Of course a cloud of it goes right through the open windows of the car next to me. The driver was an attractive woman in her early 30s--with a kid in a car seat in the back. She's right next to me and starts telling me how I might have an oil leak. We had a brief conversation. She's not even fazed by the smoke though... meanwhile the kid in the back looks like he is going to pass out

I purposely would never drive my FD on dates. I would take the beat up Civic. Keeps the material ones away.

It's funny because when a girl would finally come to my house they would ask, WHO"S car is that in the garage?!? Of course I would tell them that it was mine, and that would seal the deal

I have longed for an FD for over 10 years. It has been my dream car since I fell in love with rotaries. After 7 Rx7's throughout the years, I could finally afford to own & build one the way I always wanted..... I own the car for one reason, MYSELF!!

I use my personality, & "Greek God" body to pull chicks. I don't need the car for that

Nope. It pulls nothing but dudes that wanna race and little kids. Well thats the same category but yeah lol

Girls dont like our cars for some reason. I guess if you modify it to make the stock appearance even better but keeping it QUIET, they might like it. But usually when i drive around and i pull along side a girl or pass by girls walking by, they pay no mind to the car. And my car is dropped with wheels and a 99 front so its a rare piece lol. Plus its red. Normally red sports cars in general attract attention.

I have had more stares and attention back when i had my audi TT. And it was a damn convertible!!! lol

Girls mainly look at the status, instead of the shape/rarity of a car it seems. I mean you could be driving a base *** audi and a girl would most likely wanna hop in that instead of an FD, even a 20B FD that has wheels, dropped and looks amazing imo.

At least the girls around here.

But for some reason, cars like the supra, nsx, they can get girls. And i think FD's are in the same category in looks as those cars but they get more girls. Has anyone seen the supra owners GF thread??

It would make us wanna commit suicide.

Your age: 35
JDM R1-Black
Your mods:Forgestar rims, and soon to be a scoot hood are the only changes on the exterior.

This is my second FD and it DOES attract women, usually HS age. However its usually girls that are into or say they are into cars. I've had a couple girls make their brothers/respective others make them drive over to wherever I am so they can ask about it. They don't really know anything but they like it and say they want to learn to get their own.
Last time I was double checking some stuff in an elementary school parking lot after hours and this lady in her mid 40s came over and started talking to me about her Nova. Cool stuff.

My 94 PEP Chaste White attracted young boys or HS age tuner kids.

I think its the yellow.

Girls down here dont care about old cars (so ive been told)
I dont bother giving chicks a ride in the FD, they'd rather ride in the C Class.

I'm 38, car has full RE AD Facer 9 kit with Kinesis wheels, single turbo, most attention I get is from HS kids more of the guys than the women, I got more more attention from the women with the FC and SW20 I had before, my ex used to get mad all the time because girls would come up even if she was in the car, LOL.

This is the main reason why I may be changing the look.

Also it's true about girls liking later model cars, I bought a 2008 STI last year and right away I got compliments from girls even if the car is butt ugly, well not really.

I just bought a 2006 E46 and the same thing, girls come up and say "love your car"

I am 28 (FOREVER! hahaha)

I have a 93 Touring Ed. The most noticed feature is the color and now my wheels. Scrump gets a bit of attention too.

And since the FD pulls more men than chicks it sometimes works to my advantage. (Actually, I fell in love with the FD when a guy i was visiting in FL opened his garage door. Then 3 months later I bought my baby!)

***** and Roosters! is all that my fd attracts. Even in the highway some dude was asking me what kind of wheels did I have. WTF who can picture out details of a wheel going 65 mph?

Know the feeling on this one. I drive an older 85 GSL SE as my daily driver. Paint is flaking off of it & it has over 300K miles on the chassis. Always drive it on dates. Drove the 94 into work the other day & had everyone asking me why in the world I didn`t drive it everyday?? Don`t feel the need to & hate putting miles on the car. The `85 does fine regardless of what it looks like. I am not out to impress anyone & won`t drive the `94 on a first date. If they wanna` hang out with me after a first date, I may surprise them when I come rolling up in their driveway in the `94. Does weed out the material ones as you stated.

I'm more concerned that I would never get a second date if I took a girl out in my FC in its current form. It looks good and it's not even that loud (RB exhaust) but it rides stiff, has a harsh clutch, and makes girls genuinely frightened when I actually get on it due to the top end power. Like they SCREAM, and I'm not even pushing it through turns or anything.

My daily driver is a very clean 1997 Q45. Girls like the soft leather and the wood grain.

I've only had my neighbor and one stranger complement me on my car. I think my neighbor said something because she knew how much work got put into it (2 years in shops). The stranger was from the ghettos of Brooklyn. I think she was impressed because the car didn't have mismatched body panels. Girls generally don't care about my FD. My exs didn't care for it at all. One of them said my FD wasn't practical enough for her. She got the boot soon after. She twisted her ankle getting in the car once to haaa.

im 38 94 pep. Ive had my fd since i was 26. My car was montego blue and all stock (exterior wise) for the 9 years of ownership.

while the car was montego ive had women talk to me from time to time. Most just stare but dont approach. Women do like it though, as the ones that ive gone out with their first comment typically is 'wow this is nice!'. But most of the vocal attention has been from men. mainly young guys but older ones as well.

Now my car is yellow, apexi replica sides, scoot style hood, plateless 99 bumper, pre auto light kit, rays g games and coilovers, still wingless. i wanted to give my car an updated look without looking body kitted. i think i achieved that because cops dont bug me, and ive gotten compliments from men of all ages and women also of all ages. The attention factor is through the roof though. people (Both male and female) are always looking and rubber necking. but its the young males under 25 that go ape **** with the thumbs up and startimg up conversations.

My FD never get's me any girls. I can only get high school boys and basically any guy who drives a civic. It's sad, but I think the FD is more or less a second girl friend, ie attracts guys like no other, needs the finest of everything, and you always end up buying her stuff.

ive owned many cars porsches (main attraction to girls) have a c class. ive learned that it takes a certain sleek look (yes, dont be afraid to get that beautiful carbon fiber hood you have been craving). ive had more girls in my fd than my c class, girls dont even care for the c class to be honest. the more your car stands from the rest makes the car bait to woman. oh and i almost forgot the hotter ones love to go really fast and not stock twins fast either.

Real quote from a girl in the fd "that woosh sound is really turning me on"

Im 23, I have a 93 base model,

Exterior mods: Tropical blue met paint, 18'' black volk racing cv pro's, eibach lowering springs, modified 99 spec tail light conversion, 99 spec front lip, 99 spec rear spoiler, smoke front turn signals.

Mine unfortunately only turns heads from guys and little kids. Women don't really care, because they don't know what it is. I just love it when women dont think its really a 93 lol

21... MB w/ 99 front/ lip/ feed sides/RB duals

honestly the girls in college are impressed. they don't know what it is at first, just enticed by the 2 seater sports car look, but the real interest comes after going for a ride and them noticing how much other ppl stare at the car.

Inevitably, they like the attention.
