i think this is normal though.

in 3rd gear from going for partial throttle to full throttle, seems the car will let out a small puff of white smoke. usually at turbo transition. this sound normal to you? i think its blow by?

White smoke is coolant. If its at the transition point it may be your sec. turbo going bad.

Another theory is that the smoke on acceleration to WOT is from the OMP injecting oil into the engine. Both of my 3rd gens have done this (one since new) so i would not be concerned unless you have other symptoms of a coolant leak (coolant loss or bubbles in the AST on warmup)

i doubt it is coolant. i have a fairly new engine. there is no sweet smell. and the coolant has never been low. ya it could be the OMP, but seems normal i think. just checking who else noticed this on their cars.

hmm now that you mention it, i'd say the motor is not fully warmed up yet. i usually only notice it leaving work or going to lunch, but then again i dont boost often, really.

my car doesnt smoke at idle, other than a puff of the blue smoke. that is normal. i also dont leave jet stream trails like that guy in the link. its just a small puff at WOT. doesnt always happen, just every once in awhile.
