does this sound like leaking clutchline?

Do these symptoms sound like leaking clutchline to you guys?

-The car will start to die like the clutch is slowly engaging if i leave it in gear with the clutch down

-I had to refill the brake fluid cause it was low, and now i have the symptoms again but the fluid is filled up

-I let out the clutch sloooowly just a tad and the car hops foreward like i dropped the clutch (smashing my front bumper while i was trying to park)

-If i pump the clutch the pedal gets stiffer

So you have to top off the fluid res every so often?

If so you may be able to see a leak.

well for the past 4 months i had to do it once...(since i got my car back from rebuild)

i have an SS clutchline im going to install today and bleed the systme and hopefully it was just a tiny pinhole leak coming from the clutchline. my engine builder told me it was leaking from there. Maybe ill take out the slave too and take it apart and see if it needs a rebuild.

If it is indeed the slave/master cylinder, I would highly recommend you to just get a new one. I rebuilt one that ended up giving up on me only after a month. I went ahead and purchased a fresh new one and no problems since.

I am speaking of the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder set all together. The clutch pedal arm operates a piston in the clutch master cylinder. It then forces hydraulic fluid through a pipe to the clutch slave cylinder where a another piston works the clutch disengagement mechanism. Yes, I purchased both for 60 dollars with warranty included. You may be able to get it for even less. Good luck bro.

Was that an OEM unit? Because I paid $90 alone for my slave cylinder. Damn...you got one hell of a deal, or I got ripped off.
