does my engine have a chance?

Ok today is the worst day since I had my FD.

I had over flowing coolant issue but I change alots of stuff(thermo stat all the hose AST elimination) and it seemd cure the problem.I never had coolant light after that.
but I still heard water running noise at the dash every time I started car.
today after work I drove to gas station near home(20 minutes) I put some gas and started car it started just fine but coolant buzzer went off check the stock gauge it allmost hit the red line but my VDO gauge showed 160 F WTF I parked car and cood down a little bit grab some rags and open the coolant cap.
and coolant jumped like 4foot and hit the hood and I soked by hot coolant F*CK I got burn on my hand.
I think my wife started hating my car.
but still I love my FD.
after dinner I went to car see if it started and it started right up.
funny thing even I have all the symtom of bad coolant O-ring(alots bubble at the filler neck, over flowing coolant)
I never had starting problem.
do I still have a chance?
