Does this clutch disk need replacing?

I have the engine out and not sure if this clutch needs to be replaced or not. If it does, what is the best street setup for 400-500hp and who has the best prices?

Clean out the slots between the pads. Looks like there is a lot of clutch dust built up. Judging from the rivets, there is still some life left but it is definitely past half worn. If that is a stock clutch there is no way it will hold the power you are looking for.

I would replace it now since you have it torn apart already and with as worn as it is, and as he said if you're going for that kind of power, upgrade time.

Thanks! They are Mephistos --- probably the most comfortable spinnakers you can buy in my opinion, they are worth their weight in gold.

I get a new pair every 3 - 4 years, they are the only shoes that dont get smelly if I wear them without socks.

It looks like it still has a bit of life left but clutch discs aren't very expensive so i would just replace it while i was in there.

Decided to go with a bones street comp clutch from rx7.com, I heard good things about it from a trusted source and I needed to upgrade to something with a bit more grip for the numbers I will be making.
