i found a broken soleniod right under the upper manifold, what is this soleniod do? This is the soleniod you see when you remove the little black pressure box with two vacuum hoses and under the upper manifold. There are two right next to each other and its the right soleniod that broke. Each has soleniod has a vacuum nipple and my broke off. what are these called? what do they do? how much to fix? thanks guys

The passenger side one is the turbo precontrol, the driver side one is the wastegate. With the wastegate solenoid broke you should only be seeing 7 pounds of boost; get it replaced.

Not true, if he broke the nipple off the pressure side of the wg solenoid he would get maximum boost. If the nipple is the vent-side of the wg then it would have virtually no effect on performance, it would just allow perhaps a little dirt to get into the metal manifold.

This is a really easy fix, send me a PM and I'll walk you through it.
