I have heard of steam cleaning that cleans it up down there. Never done it and also don't know of anybody that has done it either, just heard it. Check out your local detailing places they might be able to hook you up with a place that will handle that for you. If you find some one pm me about the info you get ok? Thanx

i didnt know that the point of steam cleaning your engine was to make the underbody look new...

i think if you want it to look newer and blacker, you can buy that underbody rubberized paint stuff at the auto parts store. i never used it before though, so i have no testament to the results. maybe you can try it and post your results???

get some commercial wheel cleaner...spray it all over and hose it off with pressurized water. And since you're planning to keep the car forever and want the underside to look new...go buy yourself an extra undercar plastic tray (that one that goes in front of the oil pan).

WD-40 works real good for underbody, frame ect..
Just dont spend all day waxing the car then spray it with WD-40 like i did. WD-40 first then wash and wax.
