On my car, it comes up from the solenoid rack, seemingly from the solenoid farthest from the firewall, crosses towards the drivers side of the car, and ends in a little filter under the pressure chamber mounted just back of the alternator. The vacuum line itself ends behind the alternator and is held in place by a little clip.

On the color-coded diagram I cannot find the line. All that appears on the first solenoid on the diagram are the two hoses that go to the intake manifold.

Someone please tell me where this line starts and what it does.

It comes off the back of the first soleniod. The 2 you mention come off the front of the same solenoid
