Does Anyone Know What Water Temp The Factory Fans Come On

Does anyone know at what water temp the factory fans come on? Mine come on at 228 degrees is this normal temp or do i have a problem. I have aftermarket autometer water temp gauge plumbed in at coolant filler neck. How hot is to hot...

I believe 93 or 95 - you can change this using a power FC...

If you get to 108 (which should never happen) - thats bad...

THe fans will kick on around 95 Deg Cel and then cool the car down. Mine stays around 85 Degress C after the thermo sends the coolant through the radiator.

228 Degrees F is 108 Degrees C

That is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY TOO HOT

They should come on around 200-210 Degrees Farenheit

Stock, the fans come on low at 221 (With the A/C on they come on med.) at 226 med. (with the A/C on high)

Do a search for "FC Thermoswitch" and/or "fan mod" lots of good info on making the fans come on sooner

By the way 228 is not WAY TOO HOT it's not like the engine is going to melt. But cooler is better!

108 = bad... I flip out if I hit 104 from head soak....

ANyway, thats just what I've heard... I guess my settings are different cause of the power FC.

The stock ecu turns the fans on to LOW speed at 105C (221F). The fans go to MED at 108C (226F). The fans will only go to HIGH if temps are above 108C with the A/C on.

EDIT -- there is no danger to your motor if you hit 108C....with the normal operating pressure, the cooling system should be ok to 115C or more. Obviously running that hot on a regular basis isn't good but in extreme conditions, 108-110C doesn't mean your engine is gone.....
