FPR solenoid removal

Ok, I am about to start buttoning up everything on my single conversion. I have read little bits and pieces that its actually better to cut out the fpr solenoid but I havent heard a clear reason and "how-to" behind it. Could someone clarify on this for me?

The FPR solenoid is used for "hot-starting". The only thing affected by removing it is "hot starting". The solenoid is basically used to increase pressure in the fuel rail during hot starting to avoid vapor-lock, which results in hard-starting.

If you want to remove it, all you have to do is run the vacuum line from the FPR to a vacuum source on the intake manifold. Originally, the design was: FPR to FPR-solenoid, to vacuum source on Intake Manifold. You just bypass the FPR solenoid and tap straight to the Intake Manifold.

so the only thing I would have problems with would be hard starting? Are there any advantages to doing this?

I removed mine and never had an issue with starting the car. The solenoid is used in conjuntion with the fuel temperature sensor to start the car when the engine is already hot. If your car is running right you won't miss it. There are no advantages except for 1 less useless solenoid. The guy above me pretty much said all of this. Just run a vacuum line from your fuel pressure regulator to the nipple on the LIM. Make sure you get your car tuned with that new single setup or it won't be as fun ; )

I am about to pull this solenoid too.
Havn't seen anybody w/ negative effects yet, but are any of you guys having problems? I have piggyback ECU and will be using a resistor.

I bypassed the FPR solenoid over a year ago and have never had a problem.
