Does Anyone Know if Staff from Re Amemiya Will Fly Out
Hi Guys
From my past thread, I manage to fix my FD and keep it sequential.
The title says it all and I will appreciate positive feedback.
An investment is maturing and the reason for this thread, is i will like my FD ported, tuned and balanced by Re Amemiya. I sent a mail but no reply yet.
Anyone has ever had them come out to their country , should i fly to them get another FD and leave it by them to do whatever they do best(a sequential turbo beast)
I seen on the auctions a nice FD with aero parts goes for around 5k us, so thats leave me with 13k us . I am trying to way options :
Fly the staff down or fly up myself.
Im in south africa so i have reason why i want to take a huge step as rotary mechs are very scarce and those who are rotary mechs, dont work with the sequential system
Please advise

You'd have to get somebody in Japan to get ahold of them to see, but I highly doubt that they're fly to you to build an engine there when their shop is at home, and especially not for that amount of money.
They do sell built engines on Amazon Japan, though: Http://Www.Amazon.Co.Jp/dp/B00A6KBMN8

Okay thanks, why i asked because my current fd came with their ecu and its the bomb to drive, so im tryng to imagine a proper tune street and track vehicle. I seen a car on iauc worked on by them for 2.2mil yen
I remember going through another members thread, i think it was fastest fd on stock twins or powerfull. One of the members that posted on that thread said he/she from Re Amemiya and their car made this amount of hp on stock twins and that they fly out. Ill ask the car exporter in Japan that organised my FD, if he can find out anything
I'd be more concerned about fuel quality SA v Japan running their computer. One of the mags here some time back had one of the locals fly over doing tuning for reciprocators, j'burg v durban - and points in between - was some sort of headache if I recall?

Fuel wise 95 octane is not bad and safe till 1.3bar boost and when i had a subaru 1bar boost in Joburg the car was sluggish compared to Durban. When i turned the boost down to 0.6bar it was much more responsive in Joburg
My fd is running 0.9bar at the moment daily drive came from Japan tuned for 1.2bar.
We have some twisty roads in Durban and straightline drag does not do it anymore.
Suspension wise car is stock Type R. So if i can get some feedback from Re Amemiya i will know where i stand. If it means purchasing a auction FD and sending it to them , that will be okay as i will have the option of choosing one with a good kit and rims and hoping the previous owner did the suspension atleast i saved there. Then i can worry about engine , ecu and the smaller things like tie rod ends, clutch flywheel, brakes etc .
Then i can keep my current FD as is

At the moment , trying to find out if any members actually got staff from Re Amemiya to come out to them if not atleast for a quote if they do offer that.
Yes planning on getting a second FD (if they dont fly out)and want to see how much they can get out of the seq twins, im not looking for crazy power, but similar to theirs touge cars. As i want the car to be tuned but someone reputatible. I know its going to be costly, but at the end of the day you know you had your car worked on by the right guys

that being said , you might not want a twin turbo setup . I wouldnt be closed minded about following their recommendations regarding a different turbo setup .
good luck !
