Does anyone have a tailpipe that smokes after a good run?

After 5 mins after a good WOT run. I settle the turbos
down with a turbos timer for a couple mins. Then a couple mins later my whole garage starts to stink and some light smoke emits from the tailpipe. Smells like burning oil.

I have no Catalitics, but both turbos are working correctly... boosting fine... aprox 14 pds.

I know this is not a good sign. Has anyone have this happen before .

I suppect the internal turbo oil seals are leaking...

How long before they totally cease or what should I expect to happen?

14 psi, on stock turbos with no cat, do you have an ecu upgrade? If not, sorry!

my seals on the compressor side are shot, so it smokes on startup. after it is properly warmed and been through a little flogging, no smoke.
i hope your seals on the turbine side are not bad. i hear that is a PITA to fix. (ie. getting "new" turbos would be easier and cheaper)

My rx has the Pettit ecu... And the smoke is definitely
burnt oil. Probally from the turbine side of the turbos.

Mine smokes a little on the start up as well. Does anyone know how long before my turbo's cease or expode?

I will start saving... for a new set. Anything I could do to make my existing turbos last.

thanks again for the replies jc.

Looking at your typing it may very well be residual smoke from the crack you are doing.

They won't explode but you will eventually loose boost if the seals are failing, not much though. You will use more and more oil, and when you get sick of stinking of burnt oil then you can change them. IMHO
