The good thing about something that low miles is the condition of the body, suspension, interior. The bad thing about low miiles is the engine. Once you start the engine it's rusting when it's turned off . But getting an excellent interior, body etc for such a car is worth it.

 

Nice. I occasionally see some super low mileage cars. I think I'll try and pick one up one day to use as my personal time capsule

 

I wonder if the seller will understand the motor is probably bad from not being driven. Those could be frustrating negotiations if they think it's truly 'like new'.

Hmmm, I dunno.

For the sake of argument (and simplicity) lets assume the FD is ten years (520 weeks) old. That's about 12 miles in an average week. The guy claims he always drove it to make sure the fluids circulated.

 

I actually wouldn't recommend anyone buying that car simply because you'd probably feel too guilty driving a car with that few miles. My car has low miles (although not as low as this one), and I find myself putting off driving it so I don't build the miles. It's just sad really .

 

Sad to say, but I'm like this too.

 

I say screw it. Drive the ******! I bought mine with <16k miles on it. It now has 105k miles. I've enjoyed driving every single mile

 

Wow, you've got me beat. I've went from 28k miles to around 98k in 4.5 years....

 

yeah I'm the opposite. I bought mine blown up for cheap and it had 130+K miles on it. I don't feel one bit guilty for putting miles on it. I figure. 130K or 200K does it matter by that point. Everything is changed out by then anyway. LOL.....
