Do you see lower boost on lower gears?

Hey guys, just a plan simple question I have. I have my seq. setup for around 14 psi, around .95 bar on my PFC. I guess whenever I hit WOT on 1st and 2nd gear, my boost never goes over .85 bar, but most of the time on 3rd and 4th, I will hit .95 bar perfect. Is this normal? I would assume because of the load, the turbo gets more air at higher speed and hince more boost? Is there a fix to this, I would like to see slightly higher boost on lower gears and keep my higher gear about the same. Any advise?

Are you absolutely mashing the gas pedal? It's "harder" to get truly wide open in 1st and 2nd sometimes.

I get a really slow boost building in 1st 2nd and 3rd, I have to roll onto it very gently to get boost at all. I have a broken check valve however.

I did some searching to try to find my problem, and the general consensus was that boost should be the same in every gear, +/- 1 psi or so. Low boost in low gears could be attributed to sitcking solenoids and or broken check valves. So probably start there.

rotorypolo, 14psi on the stock twins? Yikes. How long have you been running that boost level?

Most likely the turbos are a little tired or you just need a better boost controller.

In the higher gears you're making more exhaust so getting higher boost even with the older turbos isn't too difficult.

Mine runs a lb or two lower in 1st and 2nd gear.

There isn't enough or as much load in 1st and 2nd gear to build as much boost. Especially when you are spinning the tires.
