Do you need a knock sensor?

I know a knock sensor is used on stock motors, but if you have an upgraded car with a power FC do you need a knock sensor?

Thanks in advance

Do you really need a temperature sensor?

The basic need for both of them is the same: engine health. You can get away with out them but how trusting are you of your tune and setup?

There's no point in removing it. The PFC has no ignition retard knock control. It can log a "knock" number. Sometimes it's useful, sometimes not.
