Question do you need the air pump?

ok i was look at the greedy pulley kit and it tells you to remover the air pump. my q is the air pump need and what do i do with the parts that are left over? anybody have this and what did you do?

If you live in CA you might have trouble passing emissions with out it.

If you are still running the stock main cat, then you need the airpump.

I don't think you NEED it per se...it just won't do it's job as well at idle. That's all.

that and it'll stink up a storm and wear out the cat faster, also losing it doesn't really give you any hp gain if that's what you're going for, it just frees up some room under the hood. also after 3800 rpms the clutch on it doesn't engage and it's just free spinning so again no decrease in power. and to add to coolduke you will NOT pass smog unless you run someone's car up for yours
