I read somewhere that you should replace the throttle body, throttle body o-ring, ext. mailfold, adn air control valve gaskets when you do the vacuum hose replacement. Does this have to be done?

If your current gaskets are in good condition, then no. But if they have never been changed, you may as well change them while you have everything off.

Mahjik is right. While it is apart, replace them. they are not expensive, and if your job goes anything like mine did, they will all need to be replaced anyway!

I got mine at my local dealer, and I don't remember any of them being close to $60.00, but I'll have to check my receipt

There are some gaskets that are expensive, however the upper gaskets on the intake should be fairly inexpensive:

Well, if you just remove the elbow from the IC pipes and pull it as one piece you dont have to replace any of the throttle body gaskets. I have never removed my throttle body from the uim and I've removed the uim countless times. If you dont seperate them the gaskets are fine.

You can check the gasket between the uim and lim but on my car its metal and you shouldnt have a prob with it.
